On the Mount

Two thousand years ago, the greatest teacher in the history of the planet stood (or perhaps sat) on the side of a mountain and told what was surely a rapt Jewish audience all about the kingdom of heaven and how its subjects behave. Not by coincidence, he is also its king.

The series (now completed) was not exactly the usual verse-by-verse commentary of Matthew 5 through 7. I was attempting to put the modern reader in the sandals of the original audience while simultaneously applying the words of Christ (where possible) to the modern believer.

Did I succeed? You be the judge.
